About Me

I'm a retired school counselor / home economics teacher with over 35 years of teaching and counseling experience. Sewing has always been my favorite hobby.  I began longarm quilting as a way to finish my own quilt tops, then started longarming for friends.  Friends of friends became customers and customer referrals multiplied.

My sewing adventure began at the age of four when my mom finally relented and let me use her grandmother's treadle sewing machine...and great Aunt Eleanor was most generous in letting me take whatever fabrics I wanted from the HUGE box in her attic. Thanks to numerous relatives and friends who shared their fabrics, expertise and endless patience, my love of sewing has been a lifelong journey.

I started out by quilting small projects on my home sewing machine but was intrigued by the longarms that were becoming popular.  My first longarm had a computerized attachment but I quickly found it was most fun to be at the helm supervising every stitch. After several years, I sold my original longarm and purchased a Gammill with a 14 foot table.  It's an incredible machine; a workhorse that produces professional results.  I  recently updated this machine with a Statler computerized system.  A second Gammill machine complete with a computerized Statler Ascend system helps with a quick turnaround time for customers.

Please note that my sewing studio is smoke and pet free.

When I'm not quilting, I enjoy kayaking and fishing the nearby Upper Delaware River, hiking, biking, gardening, scuba diving, cooking and traveling with hubby.
